After a hugely successful pilot of Now That’s What I Call Dancing in York, we’re thrilled to be bringing the project to Birmingham!
We’re looking for people living in Birmingham and the surrounding areas, of all ages, to get involved. Not as performers, but as choreographers!
Maybe you or someone you know loves watching live performance but doesn’t fancy being on stage, would be great at directing performers, has something they’d like to share with the world or is always up for an exciting new challenge? We’d love to hear from them!
Previous participants have gone nutty for Nando’s, talked about Tinder, dissected the lifecycle of a dragonfly, created an ode to their favourite Philip Larkin poem and unpicked the wonder of unicorns. As you can see, anything could be the starting point for creating a dance!
Community choreographers will be guided by our fun and friendly company through the process of creating a short dance for Spiltmilk to perform. No experience necessary. Some of the finished dances will then be made into a longer performance that will be publicly performed.
We’re looking to connect with groups and individuals who may like to get involved in this exciting project. Interested to find out more, have suggestions or want to book a taster? Get in touch with Laura using the details below.
