IT’S YOUR MOVE! BANBURY
CALL OUT FOR COMMUNITY CHOREOGRAPHERS
We’re super excited to be bringing our latest project It’s Your Move! to Banbury this Spring, in partnership with The Mill Arts Centre.
We’re looking for people living in Banbury and the surrounding areas, of all ages, to get involved. Not as performers, but as choreographers!
Maybe you or someone you know loves watching live performance but doesn’t fancy being on stage, would be great at directing performers, has something they’d like to share with the world or is always up for an exciting new challenge? We want to hear from them!
We’ve already delivered the project in York and Birmingham, where our choreographers have gone nutty for Nando’s, talked about Tinder, dissected the lifecycle of a dragonfly, created an ode to their favourite Philip Larkin poem, unpicked the wonder of unicorns and reflected on a whole host of personal life experiences. As you can see, anything could be the starting point for creating a dance!
Community choreographers will be guided by our fun and friendly company through the process of creating a short dance for us to perform. No experience is necessary. Dances will be performed at The Mill Arts Centre on Wednesday 1 April 2020.
We will be in Banbury working with individual choreographers during the six weeks prior to this performance date, working with each person for around 3 hours, over 1 – 3 sessions.
We need help to connect with groups and individuals who may be interested to find out more about this exciting project. We’ll be hosting an open taster and can also visit groups and individuals to chat more about the project and commitment.
Contact Laura on email@example.com or 07738 669454 with suggestions, for more information, to book on an open taster or to arrange a visit.
