We were delighted to have another opportunity to work with the wonderful Fountaindale Special School this Summer to create a performance for Nottinghamshire County Councils Special School Celebration Day in June.

The event was held at Rufford Country Park and saw groups from a number of special schools attending to share what they had been working on and take part in all kinds of arts based activities. The theme this year was carnival and so everyone was geared up for a real celebration. We worked with our group over a number of weeks creating dances with the young people based on a story about a Peruvian carnival.

The amazing pupils and staff at Fountaindale School always make us feel so welcome and their enthusiasm for the work we are doing is a treat to be a part of. The sun was shining on our day at Rufford and we wore our ponchos with pride as we performed our work for the other schools.

We took such pleasure in being part of a project where the arts made truly accessible to all.
